Intelligentsia Silver Lake

Visit to one of my favorite coffee shops to spend some dollars with tweets on them.

Also: Hanging out with @thepiratechris.

Travel Day

30 items

Fully counted we have 30 items. I counted every pair of socks and underwear too.

Packing for trip to LA where I’ll be staying with a pirate and other friends for about a month. Then, I plan to head north. If you are in LA and would like to meet up or host me while I’m there just let me know.

Cartel Coffee

A moment in time. Hanging out at Cartel Coffee Lab in Tempe, AZ. It’s the best place for good coffee in the Phoenix area. Also breaking hearts by hanging out with @jamiemichelle.

These are the moments I love the most on the road so far. Good, cool places and good, cool people.

Hope to see you on the road, LA is next! :)

Pain of Creation

“The pain of not creating is greater than the pain of creating.” This is paraphrased from one of my favorite books on this subject: “Art and Fear” by David Bayles and Ted Orland.

Infrared Series

Infrared photography is a unique vision into a largely unseen world. Working as an abstract expressionist this work will be experimental/new for me. Hopefully it will open up a new layer of meaning in my work. Explore ideas of primal or hidden emotions and thoughts.
While I will mainly be shooting abstractions I will also use the new medium to explore topics like documentation and portraiture. I expect I will need to relearn how to see.

Support:

I will be documenting this project on lyingtotellthetruth.com by blogging and vlogging and hope that sponsors can facilitate some discussion through access to the work on flickr.
I’m also excited to see what sponsors who want to utilize the work produce. I imagine it being most useful to designers for textures and decoration. And projects that remix the work will gladly be promoted by me.

You have until March 9th to contribute to this project!
